Klinikum Ingolstadt succeeded in drastically improving the operational efficiency and employee satisfaction through requirements-orientated workforce deployment planning and the implementation of flexible working time models. Despite a tight budget, the hospital noted a positive operational result while constantly improving patient care. The implementation of the new strategy in the daily work routine of the hospital using ATOSS Medical Solution merited an highly-sought-after award from the Bavarian Taxpayers’ Association. ATOSS AG and the Ingolstadt Hospital Association was awarded the annual Creativity Prize for 2002.
Functions for efficient Resource Allocation
The ATOSS Medical Solution automatically determines working time models according to demand. A forecast function enables hospitals to calculate future work volumes based on their individual requirements. Additionally, vacation entitlements can be determined automatically under consideration of each individual’s age, the duration of employment at the hospital (seniority). This can be ascertained even if the employee has been employed for less than one year. On top of this, a multi-stage process for the application and approval for time-off and time bookings further reduces administrative work.
