Workforce management: Shaping working worlds
ATOSS Workforce Management solutions integrate specific modules for time and attendance management, calculation of demand, workforce scheduling, management analyses and employee & manager self-services. The ATOSS Connector allows the workforce scheduling module to be seamlessly integrated into an existing SAP® ERP HCM PT system. As Elke Jäger, head of corporate communications, explains: "ATOSS solutions help to add value and improve competitive capabilities. At the same time, they also enhance employee integration, resulting in greater job satisfaction."
Good for businesses and employees
The automatic duty plan module ensures that the available employees are scheduled to meet demand with optimum effect, taking into account both nominal staffing levels as well as the terms of statutory or collectively bargained agreements, as well as company-specific regulations. Moreover, additional freely definable conditions such as qualifications, employee groups, work breaks, maximum pay limits and employee work time preferences can also be accommodated. This module also ensures a fair distribution of unpopular working hours and shifts. Functions such as preferred duty scheduling, shift exchanges and vacation planning are available via the employee & manager self-service module. These serve to actively integrate employees into the workforce management process, giving staff more extensive personal input and greater flexibility in structuring their own working hours.
Integrating the mobile workforce
ATOSS Mobile Workforce Management offers all of the functions and information required for demand- and employee-oriented organization of working time by way of an intuitive interface. This easy-to-use app brings duty plans, real time data, key figures, scheduling functions and self-services to smartphones, tablets, etc., making businesses fit for the working world of tomorrow. For example, employees can enter and check their working hours, apply for time off or view current duty plans. Meanwhile, HR managers have the ability to keep a check on deviations from the schedule and take prompt action – anytime and anywhere.
The task management module helps HR departments, managers and employees to keep tight control over personnel processes and respond rapidly to events. This tool uses push functionality to organize freely definable tasks, delivers pre-filtered information and acts as a smart agent. Information and advisories are actively transmitted – even on the move to a smart phone or tablet. For example, employees will automatically receive notification if a book entry is overlooked, vacations need to be planned or the duty plan has changed. Managers will be notified when vacations or the balances on work time accounts exceed a given level, important qualifications are about to expire or staff integration activities are pending.
Safeguarding skills and knowledge
ATOSS solutions make it easy to manage internal and external training programs – in itself, a topic that is becoming increasingly important for both businesses and employees. The system plans and manages both individual training sessions and courses, with the facility to specify number of participants, timescale, organizer and qualification. Newly acquired competences or qualifications are automatically available for staff scheduling purposes, and absences due to training are taken into consideration. Available knowledge and skills are visibly and systematically monitored, providing the transparency required for professional knowledge management and strategic workforce scheduling.
