The Role

We are searching for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, process invoices, and manage business transactions in SAP. The role also involves data analysis, process improvements, and applying tax knowledge, especially in VAT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities according to HGB and IFRS
  • Processing incoming invoice workflows using an AI-based tool for preliminary account assignment
  • Recording business transactions in our SAP system (accruals, provisions, asset bookings, IFRS 16 leasing, etc.)
  • Creation, execution, and further development of data analyses for the internal control system
  • You will receive thorough onboarding into our systems and tasks but are encouraged to contribute your own suggestions for potential process improvements.

Key Requirements 

  • In addition to accounting expertise, you excel in your affinity for data and processes.
  • Tax knowledge, particularly in VAT, is desirable.
  • You possess excellent analytical skills, combined with an independent, structured, and responsible working style.
  • Exploring new topics and you have the ability to derive solution proposals from challenges.
  • You are open to modern tools and technologies and you enjoy working in a team.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Business fluent German (C1-C2) and fluent English (B2-C1) is required.
