The Role
We are looking for a passionate Software Architect to join our team in Munich. In this role, you will design and drive forward the architecture of our innovative, cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability, performance and seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate closely with international teams in Romania & Germany to deliver solutions that truly meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and develop robust technical concepts to ensure alignment with business goals, focusing on innovative, cost-efficient and risk-aware solutions.
- Evaluate technical solutions and establish sound decision bases, balancing technical feasibility, performance and long-term strategy.
- Shape and evolve event-driven, cloud-native architectures, driving alignment with enterprise strategy and future scalability.
- Provide technical leadership across distributed teams, mentoring developers, fostering knowledge sharing and guiding best practices.
- Collaborate across functions as a bridge between technical experts, product managers and leadership to ensure clarity and shared vision.
- Evolve development processes by selecting tools, defining methods and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Drive architectural innovation through active participation in the architecture team and close engagement with business units and management.
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification.
- 5+ years of professional experience in object-oriented software development with Java.
- Proven track record as a Software Architect in cloud-native application environments.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and mentoring.
Communication Skills (Must-Have)
- Outstanding communication skills, able to adapt to audiences ranging from developers to executives.
- Ability to provide precise answers - concise yet complete, addressing on-point
- Ability to teach and coach technical leads and team members with varying levels of experience.
Architecture Knowledge
Must-Have:
- Strong expertise in backend and frontend architectures.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of security topics in cloud architectures.
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to AI technologies
- Experience with micro-frontends
Technologies (Must-Have):
- In-depth knowledge of frameworks and cloud technologies (IAM, Service Discovery, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in Kafka and Spring Boot.
Documentation Skills (Must-Have):
- Excellence in writing: documenting requirements, outlining solutions, and listing pros and cons of architectural decisions.
- Excellence in creating architectural diagrams based on the arc42 framework.
Language Skills
- English proficiency required.
- German language skills are a plus.
