Senior Product Owner - Observability Platform

A hands-on Product Owner to lead the evolution of our observability platform across all products and AI/ML workloads. This role blends product ownership, technical leadership, and cross-functional influence to deliver a modern, scalable, and reliable observability capability for engineering, product, and data teams.

You will guide platform strategy, ensure high-quality instrumentation, and drive measurable improvements in system reliability, operational efficiency, and business transparency.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the observability platform roadmap and backlog with clear prioritization aligned to business, engineering, and AI/ML needs.
• Analyze and capture requirements across product lines, engineering, cloud, and AI/data stakeholders, supporting both traditional and AI-driven observability scenarios.
• Define and validate observability instrumentation for cloud workloads, ensuring appropriate coverage for metrics, logs, traces, events, and AI/ML model telemetry.
• Establish and evolve standards for data retention, alerting, dashboards, tracing, and model monitoring across environments.
• Lead agile practices and backlog processes to accelerate delivery and improve platform maturity.
• Evaluate and adopt modern technologies such as OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, advanced anomaly detection, and AI-assisted insights.
• Ensure privacy, compliance, and security requirements are met for observability data.
• Scale the observability platform to support multi-tenant, multi-cloud, and future business or AI expansion.
• Communicate progress and upcoming roadmap items to senior stakeholders through regular demos, updates, and KPI reporting.
• Support KPI measurement capabilities across teams, including incident detection, response efficiency, workload cost transparency, and observability coverage.

What You Bring

• Background as a Product Owner or Product Manager in observability, platform engineering, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML operations.
• Deep understanding of metrics, logs, traces, event pipelines, and AI/ML model monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, microservices, service meshes) and modern instrumentation (OpenTelemetry).
• Strong experience with Prometheus and the Grafana stack at scale, with additional exposure to AWS/Azure observability services (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear priorities, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills across business and engineering.
• A results-driven mindset focused on platform maturity, operational resilience, and business value.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/ML observability, drift detection, or model operations.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for telemetry.
• Multi-cloud observability or large-scale SaaS platform experience.
