Change to the Supervisory Board – ATOSS readies itself for the future

Peter Kirn, long-serving Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ATOSS Software AG, has stepped down from the company’s Supervisory Board age related and on most amicable terms. Mr Kirn has served on the Supervisory Board of ATOSS Software AG since 1999. Previously, he was active as Executive Manager of IBM Deutschland GmbH from 1969 to 1997 and CEO of a subsidiary of IBM Deutschland GmbH in the software sector. As Chairman of the ATOSS Supervisory Board, Peter Kirn successfully supported and helped to shape both the public flotation and the extremely dynamic growth of the company over the last 20 years.

Most recently, he was elected for a further year by the shareholders at the regular shareholders’ meeting on April 30, 2019. Notwithstanding his decision to step down with effect from the judicial appointment of his successor, Moritz Zimmermann, being delivered today, Peter Kirn will remain closely associated with the company.

As a workforce management specialist, ATOSS Software AG is now posting its fourteenth year of strong growth in succession, with the pace of expansion constantly accelerating. On the strength of considerable investments in its future viability, ATOSS has recently won many new customers of all sizes and industry affiliations by introducing innovative solutions to the area of digital workforce management. In this context, the cloud topics are assuming ever greater importance.

This is not only reflected by consistently above-average growth in sales and earnings, but even more so by the disproportionately strong order book. For example, ATOSS posted a 31 percent rise in its orders received for software licenses and the software component of contracted cloud solutions in the first nine months of 2019, along with sales growth of 14 percent and an EBIT margin of 26 percent.

Thanks to the significant progress made in cloud transformation, the company has set the stage for further future success. Consequently, ATOSS remains a model of growth and stability and is excellently positioned to benefit from the strong growth drivers in the market such as demographic change and digitization.

Now that Peter Kirn has left the Supervisory Board, ATOSS is confident that the Board will continue to support the company with its very high level of expertise under the planned management of his successor Moritz Zimmermann.

In Moritz Zimmermann, entrepreneur and CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of SAP Customer Experience, Munich, another proven expert in the software sector is joining the Supervisory Board who will continue to shape the pace of growth and rapid technological change together with ATOSS Software AG. In 1997, Moritz Zimmermann founded and headed Hybris Software AG with a clearly defined vision for omni-channel e-commerce – at a time when many completely underestimated the far-reaching impact of the Internet on the business world. In 2013, having meanwhile advanced to global market leadership in this category, Hybris Software AG was taken over by SAP AG – at the time the highest valued technology acquisition of a private company in the enterprise software area. At SAP, Mr. Zimmermann is active as part of the SAP Customer Experience management team, the most rapidly growing SAP business operating area, initially with positions on the sales side. Since 2017, in his function as CTO, Zimmermann has been responsible for all products and cloud operations within the SAP Customer Experience area.
